7 minutes to get ingredients out? and 10 minutes to wash dishes???Kracus wrote:
Really? Cause it'd take me like 7 minutes just to get all those ingredients out and ready to put together and then it'd take me at least another 10-15 minutes to wash the dishes afterwards.
All i use is a knife, really large chopping board, a large bowl to mix salad, and small bowl to mix dressing.
Takes me about a minute to get everything ready. five minutes to chop stuff up, and about 40 seconds to prepare the dressing.
Either you need to be more efficient, or you're running the simulation in your head with a perverse sense of time elapse.

1 + 5 + .70 = ~7 minutes
Now the dishes I'm not sure about but in my case I would already have a sink that needed done.

no he said it would take him 7 minutes to just get out the ingredients!!
me it takes 7 minutes from start to finish pretty much, excluding eating and washup

I don't really do much snacking tbh, unless I just grab a piece of fruit, but that's fairly rare. I usually skip breakfast even, and don't eat lunch until 12:30 or 1:00. Dinner around 8:30 or so, and that's all I've had to eat for the day.
I did stop by the fruit stand on the way home the other day and pick up a canteloupe. I love those things, just cut em in half and eat it like a solid bowl of ice cream. :icon32:
I should eat breakfast more to help my metabolism though, I'm pretty sure that's going to catch up with me one of these days.

I wouldn't say that I'm trying. Merely making an effort. I'm only working out because other than the gym I don't do anything physical.+JuggerNaut+ wrote:lol, i thought you were trying to lose weight?bitWISE wrote:I fucking LOVE pizza. Oh and compared to what I normally eat that is nothing. I've had nights where I ate a Chipotle burrito, drank a case of beer and then downed a large pizza.
Mmmm Chipotle.. Not as good as baja fresh, but close..bitWISE wrote:I wouldn't say that I'm trying. Merely making an effort. Perhaps. I just hate doing dishes, that's my main pet peeve about cooking anything. It's not making it, it's the cleanup afterwards. I don't care how fast you are but cleaning up after yourself takes time. Unless you have a dishwasher.... hmmm...[xeno]Julios wrote:oh - "ready to put together" - so that includes chopping & everything?
but the actual putting together would take about a minute, so you're about the same as me except you're a horrendously slow dish washer
Well, maybe if I had a dishwasher I'd eat healthier. Till then I'll stick with the microwave.

Yet you're still more efficient than Juls' 'hunter gatherer' type approach, I see.Kracus wrote:Really? That's way too time consuming.
