7 minutes to get ingredients out? and 10 minutes to wash dishes???

All i use is a knife, really large chopping board, a large bowl to mix salad, and small bowl to mix dressing.

Takes me about a minute to get everything ready. five minutes to chop stuff up, and about 40 seconds to prepare the dressing.

Either you need to be more efficient, or you're running the simulation in your head with a perverse sense of time elapse.

1 + 5 + .70 = ~7 minutes

Now the dishes I'm not sure about but in my case I would already have a sink that needed done.

I don't really do much snacking tbh, unless I just grab a piece of fruit, but that's fairly rare. I usually skip breakfast even, and don't eat lunch until 12:30 or 1:00. Dinner around 8:30 or so, and that's all I've had to eat for the day.
I did stop by the fruit stand on the way home the other day and pick up a canteloupe. I love those things, just cut em in half and eat it like a solid bowl of ice cream. :icon32:

I should eat breakfast more to help my metabolism though, I'm pretty sure that's going to catch up with me one of these days.

If there's any in the fridge, nothing beats my wife's homemade black bean salsa on blue corn tortilla chips with some shredded cheese and sour cream.
Failing that, I like to hit the pretzels and cream cheese.

oh - "ready to put together" - so that includes chopping & everything?

but the actual putting together would take about a minute, so you're about the same as me except you're a horrendously slow dish washer :p

I wouldn't say that I'm trying. Merely making an effort. I'm only working out because other than the gym I don't do anything physical.

Oh and compared to what I normally eat that is nothing. I've had nights where I ate a Chipotle burrito, drank a case of beer and then downed a large pizza.

Perhaps. I just hate doing dishes, that's my main pet peeve about cooking anything. It's not making it, it's the cleanup afterwards. I don't care how fast you are but cleaning up after yourself takes time. Unless you have a dishwasher.... hmmm...

Well, maybe if I had a dishwasher I'd eat healthier. Till then I'll stick with the microwave. :p

smoke a joint and do the dishes - you'll discover an appreciation for the art of dish washing.

Then hopefully you won't need pot to enjoy doing dishes :)

I'm always stoned with brief moments of non stoned moments in the morning when I wake up and a couple hours throughout the day.

 I can't stand being sober. In fact... I'm about to go on lunch which will consist mainly of THC.

Yet you're still more efficient than Juls' 'hunter gatherer' type approach, I see.
