That's rich coming from someone whose life can be summarized by the "user's posts" button. Have you seen the sun in this century yet? It's pretty sweet.

Jesus mazda, come on now... i'm all for looking at news from different angles in order to form a better opinion and all that, but considering Press TV a reliable source is not a good idea at all.
The IRIB is state-owned but independent of the Iranian government in its management, and its head is appointed directly by the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The IRIB is the only legal TV and radio broadcaster inside Iran, and is close to Iran's conservative political faction.
I'm sure you'll find some 'IDF forces ate Arab babies during latest Gaza incursion' articles if you dig around enough on that site. I fully agree with seremtan on this, there is nothing in those articles save for conjecture, gossip and straight up disinformation. Ffs it's like reading a 9/11 truther site.

it was the disinformation i was particularly homing in on. useful idiots like MAZZY :3 assume that because western governments frequently lie about their intentions and actions, anyone who dissents from the government position is ergo a teller of truths. the blatant lying in the articles he quotes - blatant because it's effortless for non-morons to check the original source and spot the lie - is a case in point

i don't have a problem with PressTV and RT being biased sources. of course they're biased, as is the BBC, the Guardian, New York Times and so on. it's the nature of a medium that tells stories to be biased, since stories are themselves cut from the whole cloth of reality, but are not the whole of reality itself. spitting out one newspaper's Kool Aid in order to shower in another newspaper's Kool Aid is just irrational

(FYI, the 9/11 'truthers' were also full of shit, falsifying interview transcripts with the instructors who taught the 9/11 hijackers to fly, and cropping photos of the Pentagon plane wreckage to fit their 'inside job' narrative...)

Pretty much, what gets my goat is that the same people tend to quote phrases like 'think for yourself' when lapping up regurgitated bullshit from some nobody. The problem isn't so much the articles / books but the people who believe them unequivocally. People will always chat shit to feel important / earn money or just get their opinion across and it all ends up like following a religion, wether you believe all muslims are terrorists or 9/11 was an inside job, when they're questioned they resort to baseless rhetorics.

I don't have a problem with biased media but bullshit is bullshit and no one likes a bullshitter. The amount of bollocks that was brought forward by 9/11 'truthers' and the following that it garnered is mind boggling, loose change gave me nose bleeds. Atleast the old conspiracy theories, like the JFK assasination or the moon landings had some effort put into them.

The pressTV article that deliberatly altered the content from the source is a cunt n all.
