My forum only has 18 users and 181 posts. I have 98 posts
So I can't really tell ya, but it shouldn't be too much band width if you keep the avatar size small and everything to a minimum.
I can't really give you an estimate of bandwidth because I hosted a video for someone and now half the bandwidth is gone, but mine isn't too much.

Most forums never get to that level. Is this something you're planning on making?ToxicBug wrote:How much bandwidth does it take per month to run a forum w/ about 200-400 ppl online all the time?

You should see http://www.club3g.com's stats. I think the last time he posted them it was like 170gb for one month.Chupacabra wrote:just wondering how you plan on getting those kinds of numbers? quake3world doesnt even have numbers like that. either that or there are a shit load of lurkers here.ToxicBug wrote:How much bandwidth does it take per month to run a forum w/ about 200-400 ppl online all the time?

Example of a local forum: http://www.montrealracing.com/forums/
The guy who runs it lives like 5 minutes from me... Around here if you make a site that exploits a popular topic (ie cars) and its local, potentially you can get a huge amount of traffic. You just need to find that particular popular topic.
