Yeah, very exciting. An old school point and click adventure game by these 2 guys, without any publishers fucking them over and a massive budget? Could be the making of something very special indeed.

It's also made others sit up and tkae notice. As this project raised over a million dollars in just over a day, Obsidian are wondering if they can generate similar good will. An old school isometric RPG from Obsidian would be ace. It seems to be a good way of generating the funds needed to make a game in a genre which the big publishers aren't willing to take risks on any more.

They'd need a seperate kickstarter campaign to finance the bugs they need to fix :tard:

That's the interesting thing though; while most of Obsidian's releases have been buggy, would they have been buggy without a publisher pushing for release?

All I know is most other studios tend to do just fine optimising their games before release. Alpha Protocol and especially FO:NV were not acceptable upon release. Not by a long shot. My fucking dog is still stuck in some interrogation cell in NV somewhere

Good games mind, just unbelievably sloppy on the QA front.

This is pleasing news...I do love a good old point and click game. Last really good one I played was Grim Fandango...
