Also, "he used to spit in the basement"? WTF, how is that relevant?

The only real value of the Daily Mail is that people who buy it are effectively carrying a useful sign that says "Hello, I am a cunt".brisk wrote:Meanwhile, in the UK....

Heh, I know sir. Most Americans in this forum are actually the complete anti-thesis of what I said. Alas, a few of your fellow countrymen (in this very thread I may add) do fit the generalisation and if they had their way, they'd arm all of Europe in an attempt to solve a gun problem we don't even have in the first place.Nightshade wrote:Yeah, yeah. The episode was actually extremely funny. The Dutch amongst us (and PuFF) will likely shit themselves laughing at how "accurate" it is and "IT'S FUNNY 'CAUSE IT'S TRUE".

Don't even start, you smelly liberal hippie. Yes, there's gun violence in the US, we all know that. What there is NOT, on the other hand, is a shootout over every fender bender or over-done steak at the Sizzler.HM-PuFFNSTuFF wrote:

Re: virginia tech shooter....
lol, do you seriously make a generalization about someone by strictly reading what they post on an internet gaming forum? brisk, I don't have any beef with you, but that's just silly. Forums are a fantasy for most people. It's a place to get away from their daily reality and to just be whatever they want to be. You shouldn't make a serious opinion of someone by reading what they post here. Try shaking their hand and looking them in the eye before you start criticizing...brisk wrote:

I don't take you serious xer0s, so no worries about that
Re: virginia tech shooter....
Things to point out. Puff is confused over Nightshade's comment which reads as if theres unreported gunviolence in 47 states of the USA, and Nightshade is chastising someone for generalising only to criticise "you Euro's" and "the Dutch".

I'm not confused at all. You do see reports of people shooting each other over essentially nothing. Perhaps it's not happening thousands of times a day but it does happen every day. Don't believe me? Choose a random online American newspaper and read.MKJ wrote:Things to point out. Re: virginia tech shooter....
So you concede there's a problem with gun violence in the US (really, though, duh), and you deny that the problem produces ridiculous, cartoon-like scenarios featuring shoot-outs at the drop of a hat that no one here is even remotely suggesting would happen. Insightful post.Nightshade wrote:Don't even start, you smelly liberal hippie. Yes, there's gun violence in the US, we all know that. Re: virginia tech shooter....
lol, my comment was certainly not implying that there's a raft of gun violence going unreported across the nation. As far as the generalizations I make go, they're only made to include the European posters whose comments I've read, as I'm not going to list them all individually. I did not intend to make a sweeping indictment of an entire, vast group of people, as brisk appeared to do with his comment about Americans.
PuFF, my point is that there are far, more Americans that either don't own or don't give a shit about guns than do and that there are far, FAR more gun owners that don't blow someone away for cutting them off in traffic than those that do.
Any newspaper? OK, here's one I picked at random, The Oregonian, the 19th largest circulation in the US.

Hmm, I don't see any reports of gun violence. Could it be that the US ISN'T the Wild West, as so many make it out to be?

It's funny how this tragedy happened in Norway and now there's an argument about America. It always falls back to us. I swear, some of you have an obsession with us...
Re: virginia tech shooter....
shaft, you're going to need to post a direct link to the "shooting for no reason" article. I searched that link and couldn't find it...

Thanks.

Look at all these eurofags running their mouths when it took America to bail their sorry asses out in WW2. Be thankful you're not speaking German while wearing lederhosen and eating bratwurst.
