Re: More steam deals
having any other issues with valve games? could be something like peerblock, i've had that interfere with authentication servers before. I know memph had a load of problems with L4D connections, i think it was his router in the end, he had a thread in T&T about it.

Yeah, those kind of errors are caused by certain routers. A friend had a similar issue, which was fixed by a firmware update I believe.
Check your manufacturers webby, or even consider buying a new router.

dont think its a networking code issue; the xbox ports of valve games work great. well cept for TF2, that game is laggy by nature.

Re: More steam deals
Played L4D2 a bit more and so far no more connection issues... odd really.
I do find it's hard to find full games. I keep using the "quick game" option though, don't know if that reduces my chances of finding a full game, but so far, there's always been at least 1 AI controlled survivor.
edit:
Oh and I bought Mirror's Edge as well. It was a game I have been looking at before but never really got around to buying it. I noticed a Steam recommendation from Captain Mazda (out of all people), clicked it and saw the game was only €7,49 so I went ahead and bought it. Have yet to install it though. Too busy with Assassins Creed 2 now.

If you still haven't got it, all excuses are gone now. Get it. It's so awesome it's up there with Mario and Quake 3.
