@sst13: great architecture! the sky is a bit weird though :]
obsidian wrote:I am intrigued. Looks a bit like you have a bunch of planetoids floating around. You know, God took SEVEN days but you're planning on just three?
Perhaps I should double it indeed, and leave the seventh for resting.

I had three stages in mind originally, hence the three days (concept, test, create), but will try* to extend it to six.

1- conceptual design (done...)
2- creating/testing textures, shaders and geometry (prefab) on a 'palette .map'
3- creating a sample map from the prefabs and textures, based on concepts, 1/8th to 1/4th of full environment size
1- concept, texture and prefab refinement/enhancement from the 'a map' findings as well as ´finding´
2- creating the final map from the prefabs and textures, macro size detail/connectivity
3- adding items and finishing the map, micro size detail/connectivity
7- publishing

3+3=7!?

* I'm hoping to have it finished before the 13th of July.. olol

I'm not sure about whether they can get much better than the type of fish used in q3wcp16 (island crossing? or something), unless anyone has any ideas in particular? Are they worth including if they're sort of dumb looking? :D

I would reduce the number of fish and make them swim in a lot of different directions. Use a particle system in the shader to make them move about.

@Kaz: You could also give it a few leaks, make water drip from ceilings etc. Like in this one.

2013. Hehe.. Of course after 2012. Assuming we're still alive and everything, we may just see it released!

Maybe it's a giant iPhone/iPad screen. But yeah, you have a point. Cracked LCDs

Hey there! <3

Wow, really cool things going on here. Q3 is alive! Yay!
And the NoGhost Contest is on a nice run, many competent competitors.
You guys are developing very well. Nice to see.

I wrote my last exam for this semester today. Unfortunately I couldn't join the contest.
Was preparing for alle exams...

But I started working on a map tonight. Was really in the right mood.
So here is a screenshot for a quick sneak..

Image

Definately looking forward to alle the maps regarding the NoGhost contest.
Cheers.
