Strange/warped textures - GTKradiant 1.5

Post by cityy »

After some time of editing all textures in my map start to look like warped - anyone else getting this bug?

I'm using gtk radiant 1.5 on win xp SP3 with an ati x1900.

no idea, best bet would be to re-do those brushes again.

Wow... that's weird. Do they show up okay in game?

Everything looks fine ingame - I'm pretty sure it's a radiant bug. I don't have those issues with 1.4.

It happens to me too.
I have a Ati Radeon 9600 (yeah it's old  ) and having these issues since the 9.x radeon driver update.
Before that everything worked fine.

I don't know any sollutions other than installing an old driver from ati...

I'm getting used to these stranged/warped textures.
but still it's hard to check if the patches and stuff are properly alligned and textured...

I always count my clicks on the cap button (in patch properties menu) to fit the texture on the patch
1, 2, 3 and that must be it....

this is why i dont use radiant 1.5, its too buggy. 1.4 is much more stable, but 1.6 will be much better when they bother to finish it lol.

According to Takkie's description of the problem, I believe this would mean that ATI's drivers are buggy and are the cause of the problem, not GtkRadiant 1.5

I've been using 1.5 for a while now and it's perfectly stable and runs faster, though I'm using an nVidia card.
