I'm guessing Dion strikes people as an elitist poofter. No every-man autobot that Harper fancies himself in the public eye.
Re: Canadians....abo0t the other election coming this year...
dion strikes people as someone who was put there to appease only quebec. stupid libs didn't realize how utterly sick the rest of canada is of quebec born prime ministers.
it didn't help the libs in quebec either. the sponsorship scandal is still fresh in quebecers minds.

No, I don't think that matters quite so much. Being Quebec-born is less material than engaging in Quebec-appeasement, which to be fair, Harper took part in recently.
One potential good I see in Conservative governance is a cut in subsidies to Quebec, and those burdensome cross-province transfer payments. Unlikely under any government, but a smidgen more plausible under Harper.

you know thats not true, gky
Re: Canadians....abo0t the other election coming this year...
I find it funny that one of Harper's biggest mandates was instituting fixed election dates. Then he goes ahead and calls an election off of a fixed date.
Way to be a complete fucking hypocrite.

More right-wing nonsense:
Clicky

Oh wait...that's right....authoritarian followers DO NOT blame the victim...they have hearts of gold.
Clicky
Ritz apologized after The Canadian Press reported he was cracking wise about the crisis during an Aug. 30 conference call with scientists, bureaucrats and political staff.
"This is like a death by a thousand cuts - or should I say cold cuts," Ritz quipped.
And when told about a new death in Prince Edward Island: "Please tell me it's (Liberal agriculture critic) Wayne Easter."

Oh wait...that's right....authoritarian followers DO NOT blame the victim...they have hearts of gold.

Aggressive, merciless...and that's exactly how he'll run the country. Yay...another fucking cowboy at the helm.So far, Harper has demonstrated an aggressive, merciless attitude toward campaign-trail gaffes and missteps, apologizing quickly and without reservation.

Re: Canadians....abo0t the other election coming this year...
Harper has to apologize again for idiots in his cabal:
Harper hopes loose Tory lips are sealed as he campaigns in Quebec
Harper hopes loose Tory lips are sealed as he campaigns in Quebec
If Harper is elected and runs this country the way he and his minions want to, apologies on behalf of mornons in his group will be a common event. Here's hoping that one day Canada doesn't have to apologize for the actions of our government (something the yanks are intimately familiar with).OTTAWA - Prime Minister Stephen Harper was hoping to buff the scratches out of the Conservative campaign machine Friday after two embarrassing apologies in the space of 12 hours robbed it of its usual precision and polish.
Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz issued his mea culpa late Wednesday after The Canadian Press reported he'd made "tasteless" jokes about the deadly listeriosis outbreak during a conference call last month.
Despite opposition calls for Ritz's ouster, Harper - having already demonstrated zero tolerance for campaign missteps - opted to stand by his minister, chalking the ill-timed attempt at gallows humour up to on-the-job stress and strain.
He'd barely had time to do so when word emerged about an ugly confrontation between aboriginal protesters and an aide in Transport Minister Lawrence Cannon's campaign office.

Do you think equal rights/gay rights are important?
Do you think Canada should bring back capital punishment?
Do you want another NAFTA?
Do you want another GST-type of cash grab from your wallet justified by government mismanagement?
Do you want a xenophobic, homophobic, and sexist government speaking on your behalf?
Do you want Canada do be more militarized?
Do you want Canada to join every war America starts?
Do you think Afghanistan is worth Canadian lives?
Do you want Canada to be a larger terrorist target?
Do you want a Prime Minister who drops to his knees and gobbles American cock whenever called upon?
Do you want Canada going further into debt and at a much faster pace?
Do you want "business first" policies?
Do you want religion to have more impact in policy decisions?
Do you want abortion to be illegal?
Do you want significant privatization of public services?
Do you want an "attack first" political system with smear and obfuscation being the primary objective?
Do you want a Prime Minister who "flip flops" to the political wind.
Do you want a Prime Minister who is blatantly not the person he projects during election campaigns? (they're all liars...he's just a bigger one)
Do you think being out of power for several years is enough punishment to the Liberal party who were doing an otherwise "decent" job of running the country...in a relative sense?
Do you actually want to go down the same road America has gone the last 30 years?
Stop being a dick and begin reading. You have a sizeable amount of grey matter to utilize in finding out why you should pay attention instead of being a childish troll on the internet. Don't make me rape you on principle in ETQW...if you ever decide to play.

Q&Aed.
Not sure where you're going with all this. I support that faggot Dion and the Liberals, I've knocked the Conservatives on fiscal policy, taxes, and their pro-Quebec rimming of late.
GONNAFISTYA wrote:Do you want another NAFTA? Yes, with a little tuning up.
Do you want another GST-type of cash grab from your wallet justified by government mismanagement? If we're to tax, consumption is often a good place to start.
Do you want Canada do be more militarized? Not in most respects, but I do support more assertion of northern sovereignty.
Do you want Canada to join every war America starts? Won't happen.
Do you think Afghanistan is worth Canadian lives? Tough one. Question is one of approach/tactics for me.
Do you want Canada going further into debt and at a much faster pace? Nope, and on this Liberals earned respect.
Do you want "business first" policies? At the expense of competition and efficiency, no. Will keep a watchful eye here.
Do you want religion to have more impact in policy decisions? Watchful eye, but I don't expect much.
Do you want abortion to be illegal? Won't happen.
Do you want significant privatization of public services? Depends on which and how.
Do you think being out of power for several years is enough punishment to the Liberal party who were doing an otherwise "decent" job of running the country...in a relative sense? I prefer the Libs in office, I've said that repeatedly. However, I've yet to find sufficient reason to shit bricks over this election.

Re: Canadians....abo0t the other election coming this year...
Sorry...I thought you were trolling.
With regards to your point about not shitting bricks this election I agree. My point is a larger scope wherein social dominators and authoritarian followers get a solid grip in shaping government policy. While nothing will happen overnight (I'm not claiming the sky is falling) it will start a snowball effect which will more than likely lead us to some horrible decisions down the road. If you don't realize the danger of giving these people an inch then you don't know what motivates them and how relentless they can be. Couple that with the fact that their ideology has a talented knack for fucking things up and it's a combination we can't really afford to let slip into the real political debate.
With your comment about taxing consumption you completely ignored my point about basic mismanagement, rather than trying to fix it afterwards with new taxes. Self-righteous right wingers are historically really good at mismanagement and - obviously - they're getting good at apologizing and convincing you they aren't cunts.

I'm aware of the slippery slope that could lead us to US-style epic failure. If it's a building storm as you claim, I hope to be aware of it before it's in our midst.

The storm will begin to rise with a Conservative majority. God help us after that.
Re: Canadians....abo0t the other election coming this year...
Canada is a joke and i'm glad i don't live there anymore.
i spent a week there in January and after watching the CBC everyday i couldn't wait to get back here.
pay the indians billions they say they deserve for what happened to their great great great grandfathers so they will shut the fuck up forever for stuff that happened 30-200 years ago that i had no part of.
i'm sick of the issue.
i would vote for the person who can satisfy the indians so the issue is over no matter the cost.
If canadians knew the cost, nepotism and corruption they would revolt.
stop being pussies and have some frank discussion on this issue .. i will go back to Canada when i know that my money is not being thrown away.
i live in a land of TRUE hardship .. what happened to the indians is peanuts compared to what i see and hear everyday.
Paid for by disgruntled taxpayer that is tired of the socially correct attitude of government and media.
everyone is scared to say how they feel on this issue becaue they won't get elected or will be labelled a racist.
is it racist to ask where all the billions are being spent and WHY?

It isn't racist, it's inefficient and mutually harmful.
Re: Canadians....abo0t the other election coming this year...
so it's best to be a typical Canadian and bite the bullet because raising the issue of pissed away money is politically incorrect.
fair enough .. it has been our culture for a long time to keep our mouths shut on the issue.
i am tired of our collective media driven guilt but the leaders of this country won't tackle head on the issue in frank and open discussion.
i want a leader that will finally put to rest the issue no matter the sacrifice.
look at Nunavut , an honest to god great example of Canadians doing our best to
say we are sorry.
do you have any idea how much we spend every year for Nunavut so they can run it on their own??
**i dare someone to google the answer and find out .. you probably won't find a published answer , the answer will probably shock you**
racist rant over but truly Canadians are pussies when it comes to this issue publicly
i found the answer
2007-2008 given by tax-payer money 1.06 billion
they over-spent 6.6 million
Nunavut government spent with 100% tax-payers money in 2007 $66,250 per eskimo "16,000 eskimos in Nunavut"
i understood you Massive and i agree
