You using XP home or XP pro? I seem to remember getting this message trying to get to XP home machines.
As ever, check your shares (and permissions, if you're running XP pro) on the target machine are set up right, and that that PC isn't running an over-precious firewall.
I'm running XP pro. It was fine before, but I had to unplug my router because it stopped responding. It's done this a few times before. I think I'm going to do a hard reboot on the router and see if that fixes it.
I was wondering the same thing. I'd be hesitant to say a product from a relatively unknown, small-time vendor is "Better" than something as mainstream and tested as Linksys' WRT54G model.
the weakness of and WRT is its wireless, The Buffalo uses the same chipset as the WRT's, More Ram, and more Flash. With a Diffrent Wireless chip giving way more range with less saturation resaulting in higher transfer rates with a larger client set.
and as i said, it runs DD-wrt, Check out the Discussion over at there forums.
no, why don't you link us some of the discussion. the fuck if i'm browsing an entire forum for "way more range with less saturation" and "higher transfer rates with a larger chipset".
