Best rechargeable AA batteries?
Best rechargeable AA batteries?
I'm planning a cross-country trek in April, and I'll be bringing a small Canon Powershot camera with me.
I was previously using Energizers with a milliamp hour rating of 1850. Those were pretty powerful, but unfortunately since NiMH has memory, they die right after being charged.
The new Energizers have a 2500mAh. Does anyone know of a battery that can top this?

I guess it's Energizer then.
I'll be doing some dry runs on swapping batteries while on the move. I wonder if I can safely solder a connector rod on the batteries without risking crossing the circuit, so I can slip the batteries in the camera like a cartridge without stopping the bike?
My goal is about 120 miles per 5-hour day with an hour long break for water. That'll get me there in about 20 days.

I'll be taking old 40 for a big part of the ride, so the traffic won't be all too serious, thank god.
