Ingame... Blah, I thought Full Auto looked bad for a 360 game ,this thing just looks even worse. When will EA stop making games for PS2 and porting them to everything else...

All of it? The road texture must be using a 256x256 texture spread out over half the track its that bad...

Graphics dont make the game sure, but in Need For Speeds case, the games been shite ever since the last PSOne game, so gameplay is none existent in these things.

I'm glad I'm not o'dium so I don't know everything about game graphics. This way I can still enjoy them.

Like i said, its not about graphics, but when the gameplay is weak what else will you be looking for.

Those shots are next gen mate. i.e. 360 and PS3 shots. IGN has a bit preview of it.

If they were PS2 shots i would be saying "ok, dont like the style as such, but for a PS2 game it looks good".

The lighting from the building windows looks like shit.
Some of the road signs were too fucking huge.
Bottom of a street light stuck into the bedrock.
Misaligned textures.
Among other things.

A 360 and a PS3 do not have 512mb of video memory or 2gigs of ram to throw around to store really high resolution textures, being the graphics wiz that you are odium I thought you would've thought about that. You can't expect every console game to have high resolution textures, it just won't happen for quite some time. If this was a PC Only title, then I'd say sure, this doesn't look that fantastic, but it doesn't look really shite :)

On a side note, I too did enjoy most wanted, and I quite look forward to getting this too. Be nice if it came out on the wii as well :D

for once I agree with o'dium, this looks really bad. I expect at least GT4 or PGR3 level graphics, not "let's add motion blur in insane amount"-type EA graphics.

The jpeg compression totally fucks up those screens, it's impossible to say anything about what the game looks like.

Actually, memory on consoles plays a different way compared to memory on a PC.

Look at Doom 3 on the xbox. 64meg of ram. Do you REALLY think that a PC with the spec of an xbox could handle that game?

Developing for a single platform can have a lot of GOOD results.

Your right, it looks good. For a PS2 game.

But for a 7 cored 3.2ghz CPU with a 512meg super faster (almost as fast as an SLI rig) GPU and 512meg of memory, i cant see how it could ever look this BAD.

Meh, I suppose. There was one PS3 game that I saw a trailer for that looked fucking STUNNING. It was a fighting/RPG game, wtf was it called...

Those textures are indeed shockingly low-res, and the cars look like burnout quality, certainly not impressive.

it doesn't really matter what the game looks like... it will be just as crappy as ever other NFS after porsche.
