Will PAL games on an NTSC console/TV set show up distorted?
I know U.S. NTSC console games played on European PAL consoles will show up black and white.
Is the same true the other way around? Is there a cheap way to make say PAL PS2 games work on a US PS2?

i've played PAL psx games on a chipped NTSC psx + NTSC TV; it is fucked up.
you have rip an image of the game, patch the image, burn it, and play the "fixed" burn in order to get the vertical hold and colors to be ok.
it will be fucked up if you just stick a PAL game in an NTSC console on an NTSC TV.
the other way to fix it is the way we did: we hooked the psx to an old commadore monitor we had laying around using the RGB inputs.
as far as the import patches go... go here

for more information etc...
