I'm pretty sure they are just as big a bunch of pussies as Iraq was at the time. The only counter attack they know is strapping a bomb to a teenager and killing a bunch of civies in a pizza parlor.
Israel, if you haven't figured it out yet, has been our basic frontline of defense in the middle east against this kind of shit for 40 years. Just my op

I glossed over the article until I came to
Particularly the terms 'cross border' and 'established.' Israel has this way of not knowing when to leaveCross-border operations and signal intelligence from a base established by the Israelis in northern Iraq are said to have identified a number of Iranian uranium enrichment sites unknown to the the IAEA.
You should ask yourself what are the reasons behind why a bunch of pussies are blowing themselves up.Dukester wrote:I'm pretty sure they are just as big a bunch of pussies as Iraq was at the time. I can't back up my beliefs in a true intellectual arguement. Nor can I back them up on this message board where I would be outnumbered, whatever number to one. I only know I believe what I believe about that situation there. And it has nothing to do with any of the other science or intelligent design arguements that go on here.
that's why I gave up so quickly.

Most countries are a bunch of pussies. I doubt anything these days would escalate to the scale of war that WWII is depicted as. Most "conflicts" these days are shown as not having much full-scale dedication from multiple parties. Rather, one main country takes it head on and the others just have a small chunk of support to show they played a part.

remember how when the iranian president said israel should be moved to europe, this got an immediate condemnation reported in the press?
the glaring omission from that times piece is any kind of reaction (from anyone), which is a little odd. it's understandable the US and UK should keep schtum since israel does nothing like this without permission from washington, and an israeli attack would in effect be a proxy attack by the US. which makes sense given that another middle eastern war would be extremely unpopular in the US and UK right now, especially one driven by 'evidence' about WMDs

u guys underestimate a russian equiped iran. they already have a shitload of sunfire cruise missiles (which the us or israel do not have a counter against). those missiles can sink the biggest ships and fuck up land targets...iran also controls all the oil out of the region...
iran is about 1000x more powerful military wise then iraq was 3 years ago...

It will certainly benefit Israel, especially when they attack Iran as they did Iraq in 1981. Which, you'll recall, they did to eliminate Iraq's first nuclear reactor at Osirak. Then, when the Israelis squeal for help, the US will attack Iran.Grudge wrote:I don't see how this would benefit anyone.
I'm just wondering whether this will happen before the manufactured "Gulf of Tonkin" event will take place on the Syrian border.

tbh, i'm not that convinced by the tail-wagging-the-dog theory. israel has only been america's big stick in the middle east since 1967, when they proved they could do the business, and israeli settlement building and defence is utterly dependent on US aid and weapons importsNightshade wrote:I think you have this master/slave relationship backwards.seremtan wrote: it's understandable the US and UK should keep schtum since israel does nothing like this without permission from washington, and an israeli attack would in effect be a proxy attack by the US.
sure, there's AIPAC and all those fundamentalist crazies with their apocalyptic eretz israel nonsense, and the US *does* let israel run on a pretty long leash (USS Liberty incident springs to mind), but economically speaking the US has israel by the gonads
i could buy the theory if the US had some war guilt over the death camps (i mean, more than the dealings of herbert walker bush and IBM) or some other plausible motive but under the circumstances...
i'm open to persuasion though, if you've got any links etc
