Of snow so far today...dare I say snow day tomorrow? Damn, I 've probably jinxed it now.
Actually it takes about 2 feet of snow for us to cancel because so many of our students have nowhere else to go during the day if school is closed...no food, no shelter.

It's been snowing the past couple of days here too. On Monday we had the first day of snow-induced traffic chaos of the season. People never, ever learn - it's the same thing every year. One would assume that people are aware that this time of year snow does occationally fall and make things difficault on the roads, with us being this close to the polar cirlce and all, but nooo.

[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.

I don't understand, how come many of those students have no shelter? Since when do the homeless go to school?tnf wrote:Of snow so far today...dare I say snow day tomorrow? Damn, I 've probably jinxed it now.

We've had kids that are homeless .
And school is a safe place for kids during the day, and we have plenty of them who get their breakfast and lunch free at school. no school, no food. that's a reality.
