I prefer Chronograph type watches but am open to suggestions... my budget is up to about £800 ($1400)

I'm keen to see what sort of watches you guy like - inspire me :)

Whatever you get, opt for titanium case and band instead of steel, much more comfortable.

I still have a cheap Cardinal watch (about $100) I’ve had it for at least 4 years now, I went swimming with it and some water leaked in so now the date doesn’t work, but I never used it because you always have to adjust it for each month. I got a nice Swiss Army watch for my birthday but after a few days I didn’t like it, it was cutting right into my arm and it felt way to bulky, so I returned it.

I think this was a model, I also got a blue swiss army knife with it.

werd a titanium watch will also weigh 1/16 the wirght of most watches it's size, plus it will never loose it's shape, even if hammered in a car door a few times ;)

The guy who tried to be my boss at my last job had a Tissot PR50 or something... I happened to have the next higher model. When he asked me which watch I had, I think it shrunk his penis about an inch because the guy who worked for him had a better watch or sommat retarded...

That's what I'm wearing right now. Silver with gold accents and a plain face. Not a bad watch.

i can also scroll through 32 or so timezones to see how late it is in loc._x. pretty neat feature since my dad lives in thailand so i can see what time it is there before bothering him :p

Watches are like cars, the only explanation for your need of an expensive one to show off to other men (and admit it, no girls except skanky golddiggers give a shit about your car or your watch anyway), is that you are gay and you have a small penis.

LOL, ok. Have fun driving to your next job interview on a Ford Fiesta while keeping time on your TIMEX.

Watches, much like glasses, are huge parts of fashion. Just like one would dress up for a wedding, one should also not wear a 5 dollar watch.

We tend to hire people based on their skills, not based on their wristwatch.

But I guess that may be different in different businesses.
