Ron Paul is unmatched in congress, he's really the only principled libertarian there. One other republican congressman is nearly as libertarian as Paul, but not quite as consistent in his voting record from what I hear.

Obviously you don't have to be a libertarian to see his appeal though, in Texas the alternative (be it democrat or republican) would inevitably suck.

For once I agree w/ Goof. Ron Paul is the man. One of the few politicians at that level of government with any sort of morals left.

Ron Paul is one of about 4 or 5 Congresspeople currently in Washington whom I would ever consider voting for.

Agreed. I've heard him pose some very pointed questions to the Bush administration, albeit in rhetorical form.
