Want a quad processor machine?

Dude...the dual 2.5 is still bleeding edge. It's right up there with the dual 2.7 which is just under the quad. I own a dual 2.5, and I'm going to run it through the ground before upgrading. Going to a quad would be great, but its by no means worth the money.

Or you could always get a dual opteron mainboard and two dual-core opterons.

There are even dual opteron boards that support SLI

lol.. I was just going to spec you out a dual core Opteron box. The 2.2 GHz is over 1000/each so we're already starting at $2150. Once you price it out completely, it costs about the same for the same hardware as the powermac. I just remembered that I forgot to toss in a video card and OS too
