Need a replacement video card
Need a replacement video card
Well it turns out that I won't be getting quite as much cash as I thought I was, so my new PC wil have to wait. I do have a spare $250 or so for an interim video card, though. Anyone got suggestions for what I should get in that price range before I go hunting around for something?
Much appreciated.
Much appreciated.
I'm afraid to overclock. My case runs hot as it is.
BTW, my games get choppy with more particle effects and when there are more units on the screen (AI controlled or player controlled, doesn't matter). That's affected by my video card and not my processor, yes? Or is it not that simple to answer?

Particle effects = fillrate = graphics cardTransient wrote:I'm afraid to overclock. My case runs hot as it is.

yes its the graphics card
well yaeh I would guess an upgrade is in order but remember there aint much point in overdoing the whole graphics card thing cause you will be ultimately limited to the weakest component in the chain.....Transient wrote:GeForce 4 ti 4400

I think my ATI x700 Pro was a great value. I can max out D3 and HL2.
