It's nice that they are incorperating arcade into it. It'll be nice to play some older games but not sure about paying above $5 for them though.

the only reason i'd get one is so i could turn around and sell it on ebay to some poor sap who couldn't find one. i dunno about now, but i remember back in the day when i get my ps2 i was about to do that, but then i ended up liking dead or alive too much. bastards.

i pre-ordered one. looks to have some sick titles and since the PS3's not due out till 1st quarter 2006(?), i need something new.

Well I don't have a good TV and I'm not dishing out $1500 for one either. Plus don't have the money for a new TV either.

although she did buy a silver ps2 when it came out because it had better hardware and looked purdier.

That's not quite acurate. What takes longer is the development (software) process. Modern day animation is still faster than the old VGA one.

Personally, consoles don't seem to excite me as much as they used to. I haven't purchased anything since the n64. If I decide to pick it up for whatever reason, it'll probably be after the first price drop or after the first modded ones are available.
