How many of you will be picking up an Xbox 360 at release?

I pre-ordered one...first thing I've pre-ordered since a Nintendo 64 in 1995 or whenever...... Don't know when the first price drop will be (probably soon after release) but what the hell...I gave away my PS2 so I need another console to take its place next to the xbox.
Now - stupid question -
How will the performance of the 360 compare to that of a loaded PC? With consoles it seems like they can optimize things a bit more - so you can't just do a straight comparison of hardware specs on the console to similar hardware specs on a PC...but some of the in-game screenies I've seen have been pretty impressive looking.
Thoughts on what a comparable PC system might have in terms of performance?

High price for the unit, limited accesories, high game prices, low selection of titles, no indication of the 'standing' compared to the other consoles.
So no. The only reasons to get the latest toy 'at release' are techno lust or for posing.

The 360 launch library looks suprisingly strong.

Project Gotham Racing, Elders Scrolls IV, Call of Duty 2, Quake 4, Tony Hawk, Need for Speed, and Ridge Racer. Hmmmmm. Amd maybe Tiger Woods. (Getting that whole omega bundle would probably be a bad idea :icon28: ).
You can have all these great games that will appear on the pc and you can play them JUST like they will look on the pc, with the same features (no more skimping on stuff for the little ol' console). A 300$ Xbox or a $2000+ PC to be able to play these games at full quality? This is why I'm more leaning on getting a console and fucking the pc altogether.

Xbox Live is very large. And with 360 it will only get larger. Plus, it looks like the hard drive will finally be of some use to everybody. The new live will allow you to download new maps and stuff.
I know it's still not the same as a pc. But the price of admission on a console is sooo much easier to swallow.
