My Gamecube don't wanna play games no more :( :( :(
(don't tell me to get an xbox please!)
I got a few weird clicking noises and tried to clean the lense. Now, it doesn't do anything. I don't get any error, just won't recognize a disk at all even with a cleaned lense.
Any help? Any sites I could visit with info?

There is no reason to clean the lens with any cleaners, shouldn't be. Keep the lid closed and it should be relatively free from dust/lint or anything else. I used one of those 'cleaning cd's' with bristles on them like bitwise mentioned once on my psone, since then I haven't bothered, didn't need to really.
Oh so it can scratch the lense?bitWISE wrote:I though you only had to use a special CD with bristles on it to clean a lense.
Fuck no..
Rubbing alcohol.. 90% or higher..
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.

Didn't fix it. I noticed, though, that the oddly shaped plate in the gamecube (Note: the stuff that's white in this picture http://consolecase.com/v-web/gallery/al ... k_open.jpg ) can be pressed down a bit, as if it is too far up. Mmmm. Btw, is there supposed to be a tiny recangular hole in upper left corner of what's white in the picture?plained wrote:place a few cd cases under the front or side of the unit. to stedy'ize the head useing gravity.
if thats the prob , that'll make it play

The part that's white in that pic presses down on my GC too, and mine also has a small rectangular hole, but it plays fine.KingManULTRA wrote:Didn't fix it.
