There a Doc in the house?

Post by Zerofactor »

Ok for the past four days I've been having this pain in the mid left section of my back, that seems to stem through all the way to the opposite side of my body, around my rib cage area. It won't go away and the only way I can relieve it is either laying down or by applying a bit of pressure to the spot on my back, which doesn't really help that much. Any idea what's wrong?

Well there is some good news, this beer seems to be numbing the pain pretty well. :icon14: Guess this is what I get when I smoke a pack and a half of cigs a day and stock shelves at wally world.

have you injured your back around the area before?

maybe a previosly damaged muscle strip healed to short and a certain movement or stress/tension sets it off and crimps it up tight.

just a guess tho

ive had a simular thing a few times ever 5-7 year or so

i try and get some stretch release from free hanging from a bar relaxed.

Yea, I probably pulled the muscle or something. This older lady at work had me lifting like five huge carrying crates at a time up this ladder onto a shelf.

No, they actually show a video on how to lift, but being the kind of person I am, I didn't care.

Remember, lift with teh back, not the legs. You don't want to strain the patellar tendon or pull your hamstring.

...didn't care...hehe.

Actually it's supposed to be the other way around, but I'm sure you knew that. Although when I was lifting these crates onto the shelf, I was standing on a ladder, lifting above myself, so if I used my legs I might've become unbalanced. But oh well, the pain will go away sooner or later.
