Mostly I don't shuffle albums, but playlists that consists of a genre of songs are randomized. Otherwise you know exactly what is going to play.
And if you read smith's post you'd know that you can set the Shuffle at 'normal' play.

Aye, I've got a 4G 20 gig iPod, but I'm still tempted to get a 1 gig shuffle, just because its so damn small, and I can jostle it around indefinitely and generally be rough on it and it'll be fine.

actually, you can't get too rough with it, they're pretty cheaply put together.
