Average restart times? (XP logo duration)
I don't even remember. The only times my PC is restarted is when a new installation requires it or I go out of town. And when it's booting up, I'm out of the room, getting a drink or someshit. I'd say maybe 10 seconds. BIOS is considerably longer though (can't be arsed to change the primary boot device from CD-ROM to HDD).

Well you must have a fast system then. Have you got any DVD or CD drives connected to the controller? That's the main reason for my slower boot, because the bios of the controller is scanning for devices and spins up the drives afterwards (when CD or DVD are inside them).AmIdYfReAk wrote:
i got an extra IDE controller, as well as an SATA Raid to boot... and my times are Cold.
Oh well, I don't mind.
