Got bored today, made a model...

Post by o'dium »

Yeah, got bored today, wasn't very well so I've been stuck in my room most of the day. Anyways, I decided to make a model. Me not being the best at modeling, I thought I would give up after an hour, but I stuck it out. See what you think anyways:

I also uploaded a .zip with .lwo, .3ds and .md3 model formats as well as Textures for you to view it in real time.

The textures are a bit high res, and there is a bit of waste on the UV map, but meh, I'm not a modeler, and this isn't supposed to be used in-game, so its a mute point.

Also I don't mind people having a go, I'm kinda asking for it with it being me posting this and all  But still, just wanted to share.

I guess this would be a good time to say that its not the FFVII sword, but a mixture of the sword in FFVII: Advent Children. See, every pic I could see of the Buster Sword, had different looks (from Advent Children). I just didn't get it. So i just took parts from each and came up with my own.

I rather like it, but i think you should increase the radius of the handle.

The texture is excellent, i'd love to be able to texture like that.

Needs to look more shiny like metal and a bigger handle.

heh models were mostly plastic asemmble'ers when i was a tot.

i was never that into it but whenever i made a car/hotrod model i'd always put my biggest engine and massiveist boots(mags and slicks) on evry new model i got hehe

them 70's hotrod models were so furgen cool
