Wait for the movie..
I saw that with an English girl.. She loved it. Her dad apparently hated it, but I think it was well done. I thought she made a good benchmark for how good/bad the movie was... like taking a canary into a mine. The problem is that people become invested in reading the book. If it takes two hours to show on film what it took you a week to read, you're always going to be let down if you're going to be a fucking baby about it.4days wrote:saw hitchhikers guide the other day. i hope to fuck no one makes a snowcrash movie.Iccy (temp) wrote:Im waiting for Snow Crash to be made into a move, thats going to own.
i didn't offer an opinion on it, but thinking of it reminded me that adaptions are bloody difficult things to do.Dave wrote:I saw that with an English girl.. She loved it. considering the size and scope of snowcrash, the story and the way the characters are developed, i can't imagine a movie based on it being any good. it's one of my favourite books, so i'd selfishly like to keep my memories of it untainted by the image of whoever's cast as hiro or how the metaverse is presented.
