Thanks tnf. That's what I was hitting at (pun), getting some more use of the fast twitch muscles. It would definitely be a minority exercise, just something to get some variation in. I already try to get some variation in my switching the amount of reps, between 10 and 25, but this idea of going for burst strength seems like something that would do some good, too.

I work out on a machine, so free weights aren't involved, so there's little chance of the bench press bar falling on my head :)
yea i've too been kind of thinking about maybe a new sig but sort of haven't come to quite a decision yet

Remember that the fast twitch muscles are located just under the armpits, behind the kidneys. You have to hit them from all angles, so that includes benchpressing while using the treadmill.

You've just divulged the training secret of the pros. Now everyone will look like Ronnie Coleman.

BTW sys - how's the trainin going?

I'm doing a cutting phase right now. Not going to bother trying to do much bulking or heavy stuff at the moment. If I can stick to the diet, I should be pretty shredded in 5 or so weeks. We'll see.
