Well 50gb is gonna be way more than enough, and if nildram are doing a 2Mbps connection I might seriously have to consider them.

Yea. Still, pipex offer unlimited 24/7 for the same price, Plus you get usenet access too :)

Just got that. If there's a feature to show total bandwidth used I can't find it.
Right click the desktop icon > totals
:icon30: Oops. THought it would be in the configuration. Also pulling a starter out of a car. My attention is a bit diverted. Thanks.

That DU Meter is pretty cool. I'll check it again in a month to see how much I downloaded.

Pho, I get access to thousands of newsgroups via outlook express. So, when you say usenet, you mean the same thing, right?

Question: Anyone know why all of a sudden, my connection disconnects every hour?

Bear in mind [if you're using a router anyway] that it will log Network traffic too.

Well, yea, it's kind of the same. However you access usenet via http://www.giganews.com; you can use it to download apps, games, movies, mp3s (all legal and free ones, of course). Basically have a look through http://www.newzbin.com/ and anything you find on there you can download through usenet. It will be much faster than the free news server you have, and have more files.

In short: what you have is basically for text, usenet is for text and binaries (binaries are programs, mp3s etc)

And that deal still sucks drum. I pay £23 for UNLIMITED (done 30gb and they still don't care) 1mb, and also with an additoinal 10gb usage to Usenet which is worth £7 a month, free.

http://www.solo.pipex.com/ - its currently at £14 for 2 months then goes up to £23 if you should sign up (if you did want to switch I'll be happy to give you my referal code :D). The Solo packages are unlimited, the lite are limited but still great deals. Their also the biggest in the country.
That's a pretty sweet deal. I might take you up on your referral code :icon31:

PM if you want to :).

I think you may get some more money off for being refered by someone too and some points; also if you refer someone you get like 150 points, you can use these points for lesuire / holiday stuff etc. Normally I think you get 10 points every month for being with them.
