Post by Bdw3 »

Major: Dual Business Administration - Concentrations: Information Technology & Management.

Taking now:
TR --- BUS 3013 Management
MW -- BUS 3513 Business Finance
MWF - BUS 3813 Systems Analysis
------ BUS 4003 Information Technology Internship
TR -- COM 1023 Fundamentals of Speech
TR -- ENG 2013 British Literature

That'll finish up the gen ed stuff i need and get me ready for all the heavy presenting I'll have to do for the higher up Management classes... (as every BUS class there requires a team paper and presentation.... :/ )

Argh... still have these to go...

(for the IT side)
BUS 3823 Database concepts
BUS 4623 Data Communications
BUS 4643 Internet Technologies

(for the Management side, as I just recently decided to go dual major, four of them are also required for IT)
BUS 3023 Marketing
BUS 3223 Business Writing*
BUS 3613 Money & Banking
BUS 3723 Organizational Theory & Behavior*
BUS 4013 Quantitative Methods for Management*
BUS 4033 Human Resource Management**
BUS 4213 Business Policy************** :(
BUS 4933 Management Information Systems***

* Team papers and Presentations.

w00t..... 3 more semesters to go and only 2 semesters worth of classes to go... I may add in some Criminal Justice courses to fill the elective gaps and have the added CRJ Minor tacked onto the BS. Or I may just have the credits from my High School Cisco classes transfed as electives and go that way… :icon32:

Right well... Self advisement over.... :icon3:

I detest all things managerial. They're a necessary evil as far as I'm concerned.
Plus, management "degrees" are a fucking joke.

How so?

Damn classes arn't... :( at least not at this little private college here.

Through SIFE two of out Management graduates from last year already had a 60K and a 55K a year job lined up before graduation.... with Walgreen’s, and Wrigley's. But of them are now pursuing… But then, their degrees are jokes. :olo:

I'm mostly leaning towards IT. Going to be hitting up the big companies at SIFE myself later on. I am also looking into going for a masters in computer engineering once I'm finished up here. Maybe from VPI.
(Also had the idea of maybe going AirForce but I'm not sure about that)

Computer Science isn't for me (everyone else on the board here seems to be going for this)
Although I understand programming languages with little instruction, I just don't enjoy doing it, you know?
