Sweet little MR2

Post by bitWISE »

I know most of you guys hate "rice" so I just wondered what you thought about this car. I think he did an awesome job but I'm sure many of you will still say rice.

My only real complaint is that front fascia. Its a little too aggressive and hangs much lower than the rest of the car.

I'd agree that - aside from the front clip - the car looks a lot better than an MR2.

But I also don't believe in spending so much money on trying to make a shitty car look good. I just can't even understand the logic. It reminds me of playboy athletes who would rather showboat and look good than putting in the work to win the game -- it just seems like so much wasted energy in the end.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

For once I quite like it, but I like MR2s, I agree the gold wheels look crap though. And I like the spoiler that's usually there.

Looks pretty nice. The rims, color of the rims and the color of the car is a different matter though. I hate 99% of all convertibles though.

allright, i know you guys dont like the front Facia, But that is simply for cooling.

the Mr2 is a MR based car ( obviously ) but the Rad is in the front, so ducting more air though the rad.

and btw Netrex... its not a convertable.

It looks OK except for the CF trunk lid (or hood) that doesn't match the car at all. I also hope its a turbo, but I bet even if it was it couldn't fend for it self in the streets of swapped Civics, SR20DET S13/14's and WRX GC8's.

It is turbo but this isn't a performance pissing contest. I don't understand why every car discussion on this board has to come down to performance.

Make it "look" fast, it needs to fucking be fast..

So a body kit and some paint means that a car is fast?

Should all car manufactures design any car that isn't fast to be nothing more than a block of steel?

I'm hardly a "rice" suporter but if someone feels the need to make their car look... wild or fast or what ever then I dont see what the problem is. Lets be honest here, how are we able to use the performance in cars compared to just driving around and looking at them? Add that to the fact that in most cases when improving the performance of a car there are sacrifices are made to its street ability. Examples being, improve horsepower would in most cases reduce your fuel economy and could put more wear and tear on the engine/drivetrain, or to improve the handling characteristics of the vehicle often lead to a sacrifice in ride comfurt depending how extreme you go with it. So in the end you end up with a car that is a blast to drive at an HPDE event that you may attend at what, once a month or so? but sucks balls for going to work and back almost everyday of your life. Not to say that mr2 is being used as a daily driver though, just debating the arguement of " if performance doesnt come before esthetics its rice"
But to go back to the mr2 its not like the car has things on it that is blantently lying about what it is. Such as Type-R badges on a Civic EX...
Just my opinion...
