Its funny how the narrator randomly used russian words just like if they were English, is it just the movie or did all young brits talk like that in the 70s?

That's how the novel was written. Also, I'm sure its there for effect. I do believe there is no such thing as a milk bar.

It was written like that to show that the four are in their own world and in that world they make the rules and are untouchable as well.

It is not that different from all these wannabe rap fags that talk like they're gangsters

From this question i can tell most of the movie went right past you.

Nadsat is what they speak, and its largely based on russian. Oh and milk bars did exist in the UK for a short while, when they were in fashion.

Bloody great movie too, I'm trying to read the book, but its a real pain having to flip to the back every sentence to look up what all the nadsat words mean :icon8:

Cool, nadsat basically means the same thing as "teen" (as in teenager) but in Russian, but there is no Russian term for it. We just use the English word "teenager" in Russian to describe a person aged between 13 and 19
