I really don't consider using a maphack that huge of a deal. Not only that but the really good maphacks add a lot of cool features to the games that aren't hacks at all. I can understand banning dupers but banning 36,000 people who use a maphack to get around easier is just gay.

Well when some one joins a ladder game, If I remember right, they have to start from scratch. And can only play on game servers detected to that ladder. So basically a large portion of their player base will have to buy new cd keys to play. It sound like Blizzard is about to make allot of cash on an old game.
If they really wanted to stop cheating, wouldn't it have made sense to do the band mid ladder. So all the cheater wouldn't be able to modify their hacks, and go out and buy new keys to play in the ladder?
