I don't agree with Jodie Foster's real-world gender politics, but she's a good actor and this movie looks like it will be well worth watching. (That doesn't mean the revelation at the end won't be retarded, but this looks like the first 90% will be excellent.)

I don't think she's a lesbian. She has at least one child iirc, and has certainly never come out of the closet.

To anyone who misinterpreted my post, "gender politics" meant "feminazism" not "lesbianism." I assumed that's what bustibisibisti was referring to with his "dyke" comment, but maybe he'll clarify.

I saw the trailer in the theater the other day and I was instantly turned off.

I think I'm prejudiced now against any storyline or product that has anything to do with airplane security and/or intrigue.

It's probably because from the first few seconds of seeing it, I believed it was a hijacking movie.
