Battlefield 2 delivery date...
was suppose to be 6-21-05. Every store in the area (2-Best Buy's, 3-Circuit City's and all Walmarts) claim they had delivery delays and they won't have the game until tomorrow. I bought the pre-order box yesterday and was told the game would be in today. Seems kind of strange that no stores in the area had it.

It's in Best Buy here. I've installed it, but it's being an absolute fucking cunt about antipiracy.
It won't load up to play because I have some kind of emulator it doesn't like. I already uninstalled daemon tools, next goes nero. If that doesn't work I'll be making a very angry phone call to cunt central (EA Cunts... err.. Games).

Hmmm... I have no problems with it, got 2 alcohol vdrivers running, got dameon tools too, but don't have a vdrive loaded with it.Cool Blue wrote:It's in Best Buy here. I've installed it, but it's being an absolute fucking cunt about antipiracy.

Game installed fine, then I made an image and loaded it into the alcohol vdrive, so I don't have to have that damn cd in the drive (could of also gone with a crack I suppose, but meh).
Just thought of something, when you installed dtools did you change the name of the driver it asks you... instead of defaultscsi or whatever it is, change it to something else like cbscsci. Bastards blacklist the detaulft names... bf2 does this as well.Cool Blue wrote:It's in Best Buy here. I've installed it, but it's being an absolute fucking cunt about antipiracy.

Appears to not like Nero Image Drive (or sommat).dzjepp wrote:Hmmm... I'm going to reinstall Daemon tools and see what happens.

Well, this sucks. I picked up the full version, switched back to the nVidia drivers that come with the game and updated my audio drivers. The friggin' game still locks up. I can play a little longer now, but it will still lock.
I have no idea what's causing this, so if anyone else has any ideas, let me know.
My specs:
Athlon XP2500+, 1Gb PC2700, 6800GT. My mobo is an ASUS A7V8X-X.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.

Yank that sound card out and try the onboard..Nightshade wrote:Audigy Gamer. And I've wondered about the mobo.
Ryoki, yeah, I think I did have this problem with BF:V, but the bigger problem with that was the random disconnects.

Someone on the PBF forums just told me to switch the "audio settings" to software instead of hardware. He said he was having the exact same problem and that fixed it.
WTF does it mean exactly to do this? Is the soundcard not being fully utilized in this mode? I ran DXDiag and all the H/W and S/W buffer tests ran fine.

remember the old UT, how you could change it from DirectX to Software Rendering.. same deal with the audio..Nightshade wrote:Someone on the PBF forums just told me to switch the "audio settings" to software instead of hardware. He said he was having the exact same problem and that fixed it.
