(1993) and boy does it suck, in a boring yet hillarious way.

This is the Roger Corman one made for 1.5 million and believe me it doesn't even look like a million dollars.
Sure it's got some guys who want to be up and coming special effects guy who give it their all but when I see the typical stock footage of the nuclear bomb blast tests blowing over building in the '50's to represent the effects of a giant laser to be used to obliterate New York City, I just have to laugh.
The actor who plays Dr. Doom, Joseph Culp, looks like a valedictorian of the William Shatner School of Thesbians. It's ok if you haven't heard of him 10 years later, for that very reason.
And if you tthink Michael Chiclis looks bad in his Thing costume/makeup you don't know how bad it would have looked like the rubber suit one in this movie.

That being said, I can't wait for the new movie

Even if the movie isn't great she'll leave you walking out of the theatre feeling richer, due to the "roll of quarters in your pocket"
