So yesterday I test drove an STI just for shits and giggles and now I really wish I hadn't...I now realize how shitty my car is. This thing was a true balls to the wall track-worthy car--stock.
Now I'm wondering how the EVO8 compares, namely the MR edition. From some initial reading up on the subject I've come to the conclusion that while the STI has a bit more punch, the EVO8 is a funner car to drive simply due to the fact that it's a bit more nimble. Also, is the MR really all that much better than just a standard EVO8? I thought it was supposed to have a few more HP and torque but looking at the spec sheets they're identicle spare some suspension differences.
Oh, and as far as the Eclipse GT goes, is it still kind of a joke like the ones before it? It seems to have a decent amount of power but what about handling; I've never been a fan of FWD cars. I remember hearing way back too that it was going to use the EVO8 chasis and that there was a fair chance of an AWD version, was that pure speculation or is there actually a chance of that happening still?
anyone here driven an STI, EVO8, or the new Eclipse GT?

First off fuck you the Eclipse is not a jokeGrandpa Stu wrote:So yesterday I test drove an STI just for shits and giggles and now I really wish I hadn't...I now realize how shitty my car is. This thing was a true balls to the wall track-worthy car--stock.

Secondly, go with the EVO8 and fuck the STi. They actually had a local competition and the EVOs came out on top. If you want handling get a 350Z.

oh and the comfort thing, STI was nowhere near as comfy as my WRX but it wasn't that bad either. the road noise on the highway was horrendous too. but those are small prices to pay if you ask me seeing as they are still tolerable.
i'm probably gonna go to my local mitsubishi dealership sometime this week and hop into and EVO8 and see how they compare to the STIs.

Yes, yes...they aren't as bad ass as they used to be. But considering I own an 02 spyder I still have to take offense to those comments :icon32:Grandpa Stu wrote:well as far as i know the eclipse went down the shitter after the gsx when they canned the AWD and turbo.bitWISE wrote: First off fuck you the Eclipse is not a joke
