Any truth to this reasoning?…

When a child has their 5th birthday, 1/5th of their life passed over the last year. Which is a huge amount of their life. So it feels like it last forever. But when a 60 year old man has a birthday, 1/60th of his life passed over the last year, which is a small amount of his overall lifetime. So it feels like it flew by.

Any truth to why our lives seem to speed up?

Subjectively that's exactly why christmas is coming earlier every year. Another reason/theory is that as child you absorb so much information that time passes more slowly (subjectively).
