I think it's a pretty dumb move if this is true. I'm all for female empowerment and equal opportunity and such, but in this case it not only feels too forced, it actually might backfire because it can also be interpreted as a way of showing that women can only be successful if they stand on the back of a long lineage of males. I'm not surprised though, Hollywood is filled with power abusing mysogynists who are so detached from reality that they think this is pleasing to feminists.

Sad thing is, the media is probably gonna applaud it out of fear of being called mysogynists themselves.
