I can't believe Quakecon is still a thing. What do people do there nowadays, do they still play Quake 3? I hope so. I really hope they aren't playing Rage.

Dunno about this or last year, but two years ago there were Q3 and even Doom 2 tournaments.

this year is going to be good. They are having a trimasters tournament. CTF, TDM and duel. All the big names are going. Quakelive has been really active the last few months, everybody setting up 4 man teams and lots of practice. Lots of streams of the teams practicing.

Quake Live is still pretty current I guess .

They weren't invite only but they only had room for so many teams and all the slots are filled up. You couldn't just sign up for ctf. The tournament is all the teams play all the game modes.

Cypher has a team and is going and actually Strenx is on his team. All the big names have their own teams so they can be the duelers in the duel portion.
They just had a big tourny over in europe last weekend called the road to quakecon. Cypher won the duel. and Toxic team won the ctf/tdm portion. They actually pretty much destroyed
everyone else. They are going to be tough to beat. Toxic is a beast.
