Better Call Saul

Post by Eraser »

Anyone watching this? It's the prequel spinoff to Breaking Bad and revolves around Saul Goodman, everyone's favorite lawyer. First three episodes are available (through AMC in the US and through Netflix in Europe).

Now this series is worth your time. I think it's just as good as Breaking Bad.

I agree, highly recommended.

To see some characters that play a part in Breaking Bad years prior has been entertaining.

Watching it too.
Am I the only one thinking Tuco got a bit old since BB? Would love to see Hector Salamanca appear also...
Still haven't watched any of Breaking Bad. I suppose I should binge on Breaking Bad before I watch Saul. Or maybe since its a prequel, it wouldn't matter. But then I'd probably miss some references to BB? And if I try to watch them at the same time...fuck it...

I know, I know. I don't want to be all "holier-than-thou", but I've been enjoying other things besides TV and video games...

I'd watch Breaking Bad first. There's quite a few references to Breaking Bad in Better Call Saul. Not literally in the sense that it references the narrative, but characters reappear and the way things are filmed are really reminiscent of BB. And while you wouldn't miss any of those things if you hadn't seen Breaking Bad, it does give it a little extra IMO. Also, Breaking Bad is really absolutely worth being watched. Better Call Saul is only three episodes so far, so you can just steam roll through all five seasons of BB in one go.

The premise of Breaking Bad is to justify evil deeds, just like 24. So anyone who likes it can go to Hell.

I thought they had an option for HTML 5 streaming at some point, but that setting appears to have been removed..

Quite enjoying Saul, it's a solid spinoff of Breaking Bad

BB and GOT are better than TWD by a fair bit, in my opinion

tried TWD.. stopped halfway through S2 when I realized I really don't care what happens to these people.

S1 was strong but I felt they blew their load way too fast. it'd be aight if it was just a 6ep miniseries.

TWD gets better as you progress into the seasons, with S02 definitely being the low point. Season 5 is absolutely phenomenal if you ask me.

Agreed, season 2 should simply not have been made, 3 is not much better. If you ever want to get into it again i suggest you start at season 4, which is decent. 5 is indeed the best one so far :)

Breaking Bad is probably one of those things that is actually worth temporarily relegating social/work life for. It is that good.

Watched two eps last night, the breaking bad nostalgia is strong in this series.

It's really good though, really enjoy the characters thus far.
