And if he gets his other arm trapped under a boulder, he's going to hold the knife with his feet or what?
I don't the guy thought this through very well.

I read his book and it's dull as fuck. There actually isn't much story there, and the only good bit is when he has to cut off his arm. That's about 5 minutes of story.
