Remember that episode where Homer Simpson designed a car?
Nissan did something simmilar with a Nissan 370Z and Facebook monkeys...:
http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/nissan/370 ... oject-370z
(They called it "crowdsourced".)
With a simmilar result:
They put a freaking body kit on their own car
Like in that Simpsons episode it seems like a good idea until you see the final result.

Why do you care about this or the 370z if you dislike and don't understand the tuner scene? Not only that, but the original Nismo 370z looks ugly as fuck. I think they did a great job with the car and prefer the new version.
Old Nismo
Project Z
New Nismo
The wheels on the project car are some of my all-time favorites, but sadly they don't have them in larger sizes and I think the bigger wheels look better on the 370z.

Why do you always put the thread title as the first sentence in your post?

You've done it about eleventy thousand times and it indicates you're a massive retard.

Dude...they're almost identical. How can one be ugly and the other be a "great job"?

Agreed. Not much difference overall.

I dislike the Nismo kit that much. The old 350z Nismo kits were stupid as hell too. The newest Nismo kit still isn't what I would choose personally, but I meant they did a great job on the project car.
Old 350z for reference:
Yes... that is two OEM spoilers.

I feel the same way about the Mazda 3. The 2010 GX is ugly as fuck:
But my 2011 GX on the other hand is just gorgeous.

the 2011 was a work in progress, but they didn't really nail it until the 2012

True, but it's crap compared to the 2013, here's a sneak peek:

I downgraded my RS4 for a 350z, and it was the best car I've ever owned. Sad to see it go when I finally sold it last year.
Kits on cars are invariably horrendous, regardless of the prestige the tuning house holds.

It's identical in to the Simpsons episode except in that there was a vote on certain components rather than car design from a blank canvas, more than one person was involved, and - this is subjective, but also correct - this car doesn't look silly or have bubbles (which isn't subjective).
That episode was pretty good though, Danny DeVito was in it, good stuff.

"I want to pay you $300,000 a year."
"And I want to let you!"
