Wireless network access/security

Post by Whiskey 7 »

Been securing my wireless network (should have a while ago) and finally got it somewhere but when I check there's a red X where I don't think there should be one (highlighted by red arrow) ..

I am connected OK and all else seems to be OK.

Just wondering if that is normal?

WPA-PSK setting now instead of unsecured, least it sounds better :)

Rebooted and it disappeared?
Can anyone offer some advice please?

It looks like you are connected to Motorola just fine, which I assume is your router. If you are correct in saying that it has WPA enabled, then your security settings should be fine. In summary, it looks like everything is working okay.

Thanks obsidian for the reassure.
Yes all seems fine now. While I was in there I played a little too long :( with the firewall settings and had to go back this morning to fix.

Lesson: Only fix what you have to fix ;)
