What are the must-have apps? Thanks, xoxo, etc.

I'm gonna take a shit on my Palm Pre and take a pic of it.

Dolphin is the best browser.
I have GO Launcher EX, Yelp, AVG, Backgammon Free, ConvertPad, Kindle, and all the standard google shit. I don't screw around with a lot of apps.

Whatsapp is really popular here, i rarely send text messages anymore.
And i'm quite fond of Aix Weather, a little graph thing you can customize a bit.

I use Launcher Pro on my S2. I like it but I know some people prefer Go Launcher.

I tried Dolphin Mini. Uninstalled it and installed Opera. When opening search boxes on some forums, they wouldn't stay open in the Dolphin or the default browser for some reason, but do stay open and let me type when using Opera. Apart from that, I actually still prefer the default browser, it's really nice to use.

Mazda, if you fancy an addictive free game, try Unblock Me. I'm on level 141 expert and there seems to be no end to the levels. Great for passing the time when you're taking a dump.

I also installed this HD wallpapers app. It's very good, absolutely tons of nice images.

seremtan still uses fire smoke for communication, in spite of numerous warnings from the local fire department, and complaints from a young, hip couple on the second floor that have been happily married for over 60 years now.

lol jesus fuck, that thing was useless. WebOS is good software, but the platform is dead and their devices are garbage.

Yeah, Launcher Pro is a must have. I use simi clock too for super sexiness.

I use Dolphin Browser HD. Pixlr-o-matic is good for instagram type photograph editing if you like that kind of shit. Convertpad is always useful. Astro is a good file explorer.

Enjoy the phone, it's superb

On a sidenote, does the Galaxy S2 still use Samsung Kies to communicate with your PC? I find it to be a shockingly bad piece of software and it never fails to greatly upset me whenever i try to put music on my phone. Love the phone, hate hate HATE Samsung Kies. Shit, it's worse than Realplayer in the mid nineties.

If anyone knows of an alternative to it i would be most interested...

Yeah Ryoki, they're still using Kies, and it's still absolutely fucking terrible. It goes into a perpetual state of attempted connection on my work MacBook Pro and never actually connects. I usually end up sticking it into data access mode instead. Obviously that doesn't fulfill all the functions Kies claims to, but at least it gives SOME access to the damn phone.

Titanium Backup to freeze or remove all the bloatware. I improved my battery life from 1.5 days to 3.

That involves rooting, which I cba to do. I get reasonable battery life, but then I mostly use it for calls, calendar appointments, receiving emails and occasional browsing.

Bloatware killed my battery in 1.5 days even if I didn't touch my phone at all. I had to root it as soon as I bought anyway since it's from another carrier.

BTW, you can root your phone and then re-install the original firmware and use the USB Jig to reset the custom firmware counter in case you need use your warranty.

Do you have a link to a decent rooting guide Toxic? I rooted my old omnia but when it came to this I read so much conflicting information that I just couldn't be arsed...
