Alan Wake out for PC

Post by Plan B »

Playing this on pc now.

I actually bought it last week for xbox, but then suddenly the bitch decided to rrod after 5 years :( So release time for pc could not have been better :)
Obviously much better looking on pc, and running very smoothly maxed out. Very nice engine, especially all the light effects.
Gameplay wise not much to write home about, more exploration than action, but the atmosphere and general polish and love that went into it make it a really enjoyable game.

Not too expensive either: about half the conventional game price on steam.

Yeah, it's a fantastic port. It still has the best lighting in any video game i've played. In fact, it still looks pretty amazing in general. I hooked it up to my 51" tv and played it with the 360 controller (mouse feels a bit weird for me) and it's 10x better than the XBOX360 version. I hope American Nightmare comes to the PC too. They'd be mad not to.
