You injured yourself because you fell off the map.

memph, if you've been, it was the worst snowfall of the decade, grass poking between rocks and brush dividing usually serenely unbroken fields of soft corduroy. the weather held at a steady no-wind 30-ish, though, so at least I could soak my pulsing ankle and pride on the warm patio.
saw the wooooorst wreck of my life, right in front of my eyes. Life's no longer a passenger's folly for me at this point.

Sorry about your spill, Munterpants. Nothing requiring surgery, I hope.

I'll be getting outside on Monday, all the way to Mexico. For work, unfortunately. I'll be in Empalme, Sonora, Mexico, a dessicated, festering shit hole populated mostly by emaciated livestock that wander freely along the sides of the trash-strewn roads. But, a least it's not near the border so I'll not need a flak jacket and a .45.

Went boarding a few weeks ago. It sucks when all your friends aren't any good and you don't live near anything resembling a mountain.

I went skiing a few weeks ago. Trouble is that the weather has been spring-like and I haven't had a chance to go back. FFS we didn't even have any real snow until two days before the ski trip and within those few weeks the snow has disappeared again.

While skiing I've broken my wrist and twisted my knee in the past, but the worst spill I ever saw was in Austria when they had to land a helicopter right on the ski trail to pull out a guy who broke his leg.

playing twice a week now...
Yesterday the team that I'm captain of won 5-1 against the team that were the league leaders. We're 3 points out of first now. My knee is doing pretty damn well. I'd say it has healed about 90%. The mobility and strength are finally returning.

How bad is your thing?

Puffy, speaks well of your badassness to come back strong like that. And it's not bad, already back on the bike.
NS how far away is this Mexican township you're staying at from the shore?
