Nah, I picked $30k myself. Seemed like a reasonable average salary for factory workers. If you put the factory near a small town with a low cost of living, you could probably get away with $20k for the entry level grunts. The Foxconn workers only get $17 per day.

Yeah...there's no place in the entire western world that can match that. How can you compete? I mean, asking Apple to buy their thousands of employees a biscuit and cup of tea would cut too deeply into their bottom line and they'd have to lay off half the plant due to those "greedy workers".
