To your first point....this what people WILL be talking about:

- how the tech on the new consoles has improved over the last gen (d'uh)
- how consoles can compete with PCs and we should all admit that PC gaming is dying.

However, the only people that you can guarantee will be talking about point number 2 will be the same idiots that say the same idiotic things every single time a new console comes out. These people, who usually aggregate other people's reporting and don't do any research themselves, should be summarily ignored because they have their heads up their asses, only focus on "trending" and - ultimately - have no fucking clue what they're talking about. Like I said...it's always the same idiots who bring up this discussion...and some of them give talks at GDC about what the industry should focus on...such as discussions about how EVERY dev should drop what they're doing and create Facebook/Farmville games....christ I've heard that example of colossal genius for the last 3 years. And they're always-fucking-wrong.

Yeah dude, an upgradable console would be awesome. Plus imagine if you could like, buy a mouse and keyboard for it and speakers and maybe add components and stuff so you can even surf the internet on it.
